SOCIAL UNITY IN L. P. KARSAVIN'S CONCEPT (SOCIETY OF THE FUTURE AND RUSSIA'S ROLE IN IT)

The article is devoted to the key issue of our time: society of the future in L. P. Karsavin's concept of social unity. We examine the nature of the complex transition that our country and all of humanity are currently undergoing. Also we give the answer, what might be the personality and society of a new type. The article shows Russia's role in society of the future, as well as those aspects of L. P. Karsavin's brilliant foresight about the society of the future that have already come in the present.

ON THE PRINCIPLES OF SOCIAL SELECTION: HISTORICAL AND SOCIOLOGICAL REVIEW

The article is devoted to the identification of the most stable principles of social selection, which involves both well-known socio-philosophical theories and historical material. We seek to synthesize approaches that focus on the leading role of the historical personality (T. Carlyle, O. Spengler), preferring objectivistic consideration (G. Plekhanov, K. Marx), as well as L. Gumilev's theory of passionarity. On the basis of this synthesis, there were made conclusions that the principles of social selection come to the formation by the social organism of a kind of social order for a particular type of personality.

ETHNO-SOCIOLOGICAL MONITORING WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF STRATEGIC PROJECT ACROSS THE ARCTIC

The development and implementation of the "Increase in Efficiency of Development the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation" strategic project demanded the creation of a system of permanent tracking of changes in the social and economic situation in the Arctic region, the quality of life and social well-being of people, both participants of neo-industrial development, and indigenous small northern ethnic groups living here. We offer the concept of formation and functioning of ethno-sociological monitoring as such a system and, in particular, the intellectual information and analytical system. Within the framework of the offered methodology, we present some results of processing and interpretation of the empirical information obtained during the last expeditions of 2017-2018 in Yamal, Purovsky, Tazovsky and Krasnoselkupsky areas of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

FEATURES OF ADAPTATION OF MIGRANTS OF DIFFERENT GENERATIONS: PRACTICES OF YOUTH

The sociocultural adaptation of migrants in the second or the third generation is a complex process that requires careful scientific analysis by representatives of various scientific fields. The article reflects the results of author's empirical research that captures both general and distinctive social practices in the interaction of migrants of different generations with the new social environment. It was also found that the behavioral strategies of representatives of the foreign cultural environment are characterized by the ambivalent influence of the culture of the host society on the adaptation of migrants of different generations. The author of the article proposes constructive measures, which are necessary to improve the migration component within the framework of both state policy and the implementation of everyday social practices.

ATTORNEY'S ACTIVITIES IN THE CONTEXT OF SOCIOLOGY

In the article the author justifies the need to study the legal community within the framework of sociology. It's shown that the main reason for the lack of knowledge of attorneys in sociology is the closure of this group. The research of legal communities is important to conduct within the framework of the concept of professionalism. Attorneys don't obey the logic of the market, nor the logic of bureaucracy. Interest in the activities of attorneys in sociology is dictated by the fact that they, like no other group, are between the choice of personal gain and professional ethics or professional responsibility. Traditionally, in public opinion attorneys are considered, on the one hand, as professionals in their field, but, on the other hand, as professionals who are solely concerned with obtaining financial gain. An empirical research illustrates the heterogeneity of the legal community and commitment to professional ethics. The article contains the results of a qualitative research.

At different stages of the development of society, the importance of youth for the renewal of the social system either increases or becomes weaker, which is explained by the parameters of the development of society. ELECTORAL PROCESSES IN POST-SOVIET RUSSIA (A STUDY OF TYUMEN REGION)

The article details the experience of changes in the Russian electoral system in the post-Soviet period: a case study of Tyumen region. We analyze the regional political practice of the formation and development of legislation regulating electoral processes. Much attention is given to confrontation of the political establishment of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which are parts of the complex Tyumen region. On the basis of sociological researches, we consider the influence of these factors on regional electoral processes.

SOCIAL PROTECTION AS FACTOR OF SOCIAL SAFETY OF THE PERSONALITY

The article analyzes various approaches of the study of social risks, social security of a person and social protection of population. We consider the types and forms of social risks in modern society, especially the emergence and manifestation of social risks, the conditions and factors of social security of the individual and society. Also we reveal the content of the basic principles of the concept of social protection, social security of an individual and society. The emphasis is placed on the fact that in social state social goals should be prioritized.

YOUTH TOLERANCE AND INTERNET COMMUNICATION

The article discusses some of the results of our sociological research conducted in 2015-2018 in the Republic of Bashkortostan. We analyze the results of measuring the tolerance of young people. The results of the content analysis of individual Internet messengers are also presented in order to identify the manipulative technologies used that influence the formation of negative attitudes among young people in different ethnic groups.

KALMYK AND WEST MONGOLIAN YOUTH: THE CHOICE OF ETHNIC IDENTITY

The article is devoted to a comparative comparison of the ethnic identity of Kalmyk and West Mongolian youth. Revealed contradictions illustrate how in two relatively homogeneous ethnic groups, but living almost four centuries apart from each other, there were irreversible changes in the ethnic identity of ethnophors.

INNOVATIVE CLUSTER OF MODERN UNIVERSITIES

The article considers current conditions for the existence and development of innovative activities in Russian universities. We identify and analyze the main aspects of the influence of the external and internal environment of universities on the formation of an innovative cluster. Also we establish the influence of the intellectual, scientific and technical, and economic fields around institutions of higher education on the university management system and the activity aimed at bringing innovations to the market. The results of this research can be used to further study the innovation activities of modern universities in Russia, as well as to produce proactive mechanisms in the system of creating development and promoting innovations to the market.

NEW SOCIALITY: "EQUALITY OF DIFFERENCES" IN INTERCULTURAL DIALOGUE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ARCTIC

The article analyzes the problems associated with ethnosocial processes developing in the course of neo-industrial development of the Arctic and subarctic territories of the north of the Tyumen region. It is shown that these processes are contradictory. On the one hand, there are trends in the growth of social and household needs of the aboriginal population as a result of modernization (to some extent) of everyday life. On the other hand, there is an inevitable destruction of the traditional standards of reproduction of indigenous peoples of the North in these circumstances, and related changes in the way of life and mentality of indigenous peoples. In the socio-philosophical interpretation, these processes are considered as an inorganic interaction of contradictory cultural paradigms, as a result of which there is an inevitable transformation of one ethnocultural identity under the priorities of another, more powerful and aggressive.

CORPORATE CULTURE OF THE UNIVERSITY IN THE CONTEXT OF THE EVALUATION OF ITS ELEMENTS AND DIRECTIONS OF DEVELOPMENT BY THE TEACHING STAFF

The article analyzes the main aspects of the corporate culture of the university, reveals the content of the concept of "corporate culture of a lecturer". The author has conduct a study by the method of a questionnaire survey to identify the views of the teaching staff of Industrial University of Tyumen (University) about the basic elements of corporate culture and social climate of the University and about the degree of satisfaction of University lecturers with the basic directions of activity of the University. The results of this study can be used to neutralize weaknesses of the activities of the University in the field of corporate culture, to improve mechanisms for the implementation of certain elements of corporate culture, to increase the level of satisfaction of the lecturers with the components of University life.

SOCIO-CULTURAL ASPECTS OF THE MEDIA ENVIRONMENT OF MODERN UNIVERSITY

The formation and transmission of the values of the modern information society depend on the state of the socio-cultural environment of the educational institution. The modern socio-cultural environment is characterized by a high degree of dynamism, which is associated with both external challenges and internal processes taking place in the environment itself. The development of the information society is accompanied by the formation of the media environment. Recent studies have emphasized the socio-cultural nature of the media environment. In the information society media environment is incorporated into the socio-cultural environment of the university. In relation to the socio-cultural environment, the media environment of the university has certain autonomy. In the absence of adequate management the media environment of the university can make destructive elements in its socio-cultural environment.
